Everything Is About To Change (Big Time!)
I am both excited and very nervous about this podcast episode because things are going to be changing around here and I just wanted to share with you what that might look like.
One thing that I've never really shared on the podcast before is my entrepreneurial journey. I've always stood clear of it, But I've reached the stage in my life where I've realized I've actually got so much to share about running a business and in particular running an e commerce business. And I felt that it was something that I wanted to share because there aren't many women my age who are out there talking about it.
Not only that, but there are going to be some big changes in the next few years in our household. For a start, next year, Mr. G is going to be consciously uncoupling from his career as a lawyer. It's something he's been doing for over 30 years now. He's very much in his comfort zone when he's doing it and he's definitely in his zone of genius but he is going to be taking the big step of consciously uncoupling from his legal career.
We are starting a business together and I thought it would be fun to share on the podcast, the process, the people that we encounter, the problems we come across, the positives, and the products that we are going to be creating together.
So, whilst the podcast will very much stay the same in terms of some of the topics that I'm going to be covering, I will also be introducing new topics, such as working alongside your husband. I mean, what could possibly go wrong?
I'm going to be talking about running a business, female entrepreneurship, and also, of course, what life looks like as our children get older and leave the nest.
What I really wanted to do was to encourage women to dip their toe in the entrepreneurial waters.
Now that's not going to be for everyone who listens to the podcast at the moment. I totally understand that, but I'm hoping that there will be topics of interest and. humorous tales and anecdotes, along with a huge amount of failures that might just pique your interest enough for you to keep on listening.
The name of the podcast is going to change to the e commerce girls club. I will still be a friend in your ear, I will still be here, and I will still be sharing the trials and tribulations, the highlights and the pitfalls of working for yourself, running a home and encountering this beautiful stage of life that we find ourselves in.
So with that in mind, I would love to invite you to keep on listening to what will become the e commerce girls club podcast, Where hopefully you will continue to dive in so that we can hang out together whilst I share what's going on over here.
Much love, Beth :)
Hi, I'm Beth and this is my podcast, A Friend in Your Ear. Friends are so important in our lives. They support us through the good and the bad, the ups and the downs. They give us the space to grow and the grace to fail. They are our biggest cheerleaders when we are our harshest critics. They are not just here for us, but they're here with us. And that's what this podcast is all about. Being a friend in your ear. I'm a lawyer turned stylist and fashion blogger, who built a successful styling business. And now I work from home running an online business. I spend a lot of time reading books, listening to audio books and listening to podcasts. My favorite podcasts offer me advice, comfort, support, wisdom, and fun when my real life friends are busy. And this is a place where I can take what I've learned and deliver it in a way that hopefully makes your life easier, gives you something to ponder, and brings a little joy to your day. Think of this as a chat with a friend, a place where you can come to reminisce for nostalgia, a giggle, and a place to find answers to something that might be bothering you. So whether you're out on a run or a walk, on the school run, being a taxi to your kids or grandkids, on a Zoom meeting with your microphone muted, or sitting with a glass of something cold in your Welcome to the A Friend in Your Ear podcast. Hello and welcome to another episode of the podcast.
